GRATITUDE: noun - the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. That’s the feeling that you gave each resident and child of Hope Haven this holiday season. I was met with, tearful eyes and hugs before I left for vacation. One resident summed it up perfectly, “Ms. Sheila, thank you and the kind persons that have never met me or my kid(s) for blessing us with something I’ve not been able to provide for a long time because of my addiction." The most heartfelt of them all, was a dad coming to collect his daughter’s gifts and said, “Ms. Sheila, all I was hoping for was a bicycle for my baby girl, and you mean to tell me she gets this too?”
